Adult Sports

Sports, fun and exploring new interests aren't just for the young. Along with improving health, whenever teamwork is involved, there's the added benefit of being connected to others. That's why you'll find a range of recreational activities at the Y. With something to offer everyone, there's no such thing as being too old to get in the game.

The goal of the Whiting Y’s youth sports is to provide a positive, fun experience. We help build self-esteem through accomplishments and new friendships, develop abilities and skills through practice and non-competitive game play, and instill the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The three Whiting Y Sports rules are as follows: Be a good sport, make friends, & have fun! All of the programs are progressive, building upon basic skills and progressing at the pace and comfort of the child. These programs are designed for both the beginner to try it out and the skilled player to sharpen their skills. Please register early, as rosters fill up quickly and have an enrollment limit. Full payment is required at the time of registration.
